Jerome Paulos is a student at Berkeley High School in Berkeley, CA where he is deeply involved in the Berkeley High Jacket—the award-winning student newspaper with a long history of journalistic excellence—as a staff photojournalist and editor. He contributes regularly to Berkeleyside and other local media outlets.
Jerome has received multiple awards for his photography and writing. Jerome was recognized by Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín for his work for the Berkeley High Jacket, and by the California State Senate and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for his entry in the In Dulci Jubilo, Inc. art, poetry, and essay contest. He is mostly self-taught, however he has taken classes from The Mango Lab (London) and Tara Layman. He has experience in photojournalism, street photography, and portraiture, but he is always willing to learn new skills and expand his abilities. In addition to photography and journalism, he is skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design, and web design.
